Parade Square

Palace of Culture and Science is a high-rise building in Warsaw.  Originally known as the Joseph Stalin Palace of Culture and Science was a gift from the Soviet Union to the people of Poland.  It was one of the main areas of Warsaw during that time and most important events were organized at the Parade square around the building. Communist officials admired army parades from the square’s Tribune of Honor.

Today, the Parade square lost its glamour. The main area, including Tribune of Honor, is now a bus station, and most of the surrounding area is just a big parking space.
